New HOA Laws
Posted on Aug 19th, 2024
Once again, there's a rumor going around; this time it says that Ron DeSantis signed a law that Condo Communities can't prohibit trucks from parking overnight on their property anymore (thereby allowing owners to have trucks). The facts are that the law that DeSantis passed applies to HOAs (Home Owners' Associations) where people own stand alone houses with their own property and driveways, but are still part of an HOA. Wedgewood is technically NOT an HOA – we are a COA (Condominium Owners' Association) and we still have the option of passing our own laws, rules & regulations, and the law DeSantis signed does NOT affect us.
